Sri Lanka’s globally renowned brand LANKATILES, is redefining itself through its new ethos of “Fine Living Redefined” which seeks to enhance the nation whose name it so proudly bears across the world. This innovative philosophy is also radically changing LANKATILES’ current design landscape through six new themes that are inspired by Sri Lanka.
And in line with this new direction, LANKATILES has built a smart classroom for the students of the Matara Dodampahala Maha Vidyalaya, in order to enhance their core skills, knowledge and competencies for the digital age.
The smart digital classroom was opened by LANKATILES’ Managing Director, Mr. Mahendra Jayasekera on the 3rd May 2023, in the presence of students, teachers, parents and the principal of the school, Venerable Liyangwella Sumanasiri Thero, with the participation of LANKATILES staff.
Mr. Jayasekera, Venerable Liyangwella Sumanasiri Thero and LANKATILES’ Group Head of Marketing, Mr. Daminda Perera, also spoke to the media after the event to highlight this project’s importance to the surrounding community.
Besides, on the same day, as a further extension of this initiative and under LANKATILES’ new design theme of “Island Living,” a beach clean-up project was carried out at the Nilwela Beach in Dickwella with the participation of the school’s students and teachers and LANKATILES staff.
These initiatives were conceived from LANKATILES’ deep-rooted belief of giving back to the country that inspires it, its motherland Sri Lanka.
