LANKATILES Debuts Tiled Fashion Runway

Lanka Tiles created Sri Lanka’s first fully tiled runway at Colombo Fashion Week 2025, blending fashion, architecture, and material innovation through a polished porcelain surface that redefined runway design.

This landmark collaboration marked a bold step forward in Sri Lanka’s design landscape, as Lanka Tiles completed the entire runway using polished porcelain tiles. The sleek, reflective surface enhanced lighting, movement, and silhouette definition, creating a contemporary visual experience for designers and audiences alike. As one of the country’s most influential fashion platforms, Colombo Fashion Week provided the ideal stage to demonstrate the durability, versatility, and premium finish of Lanka Tiles’ collections in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

The initiative introduced a new standard for runway construction, merging aesthetics with structural performance.

The concept was driven by a shared vision between Lanka Tiles and Colombo Fashion Week to reimagine traditional runway staging through design-led collaboration. Customised polished porcelain tiles were engineered for both load-bearing strength and visual appeal, resulting in a surface that was not only structurally sound but also visually striking.
