LANKATILES and Colombo Fashion Week reunited to celebrate innovation, creativity and the seamless fusion of space and fashion. This collaboration highlighted how design can transcend boundaries, transforming surfaces into artistic expressions and redefining how we experience modern living environments.

Colombo Fashion Week marked its 23rd year at Cinnamon Life, bringing together global designers and creative visionaries. Continuing their collaboration, LANKATILES introduced a captivating mosaic wall installation, building on last year’s iconic tiled runway. The display showcased the brand’s expertise in mosaics, blending art, architecture and fashion into a unified concept that celebrated both craftsmanship and innovation on an international platform.

The installation reflected harmony through contrasting black and white mosaic tiles, symbolizing balance, connection and the emotional essence of thoughtfully designed spaces.

LANKATILES, Sri Lanka’s only mosaics manufacturer, used its Square Mosaic Series to craft a bold visual statement. The display featured a model replica at its center, representing inspiration drawn from fashion, art and everyday living. Mosaics, known for their versatility, were highlighted as ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and feature walls, offering depth and character. This collaboration reinforced the brand’s vision to extend beyond surfaces and redefine spatial design through creativity and experimentation.

Speaking at the event, Ajai Vir Singh emphasized how tiles are evolving into creative canvases, while Fazeena Rajabdeen highlighted the importance of aligning design sensibilities to push innovation further.

CFW Summer ‘26 featured 30 designers from Sri Lanka and abroad, including South Africa, India, Bangladesh and China. The event encouraged sustainability, ethical production and modern interpretations of heritage. Initiatives like the Batik Collective supported emerging designers, while partnerships with global organizations expanded opportunities for international exposure.
